* FP218/20000/2/51

After looking at the above image and the numbers within would you know what they all mean? Until a couple of days ago I didn’t know what it meant.

What sparked all this off was these items on eBay.

How does the seller know all that information about revision and the amount or documents printed? I know some items have the date printed in them. But I thought that was it.
Then I noticed FP218/20000/2/51 at the bottom right hand corner of the one of the manuals I owned. Then looking then looked at another book and it has a similar number. But what does it all mean?

FP218 / 20000 / 2 / 51
Ferguson Publicashion number / 20,000 printed / 2nd edition or 2nd Month / Year 1951

Several years ago I purchased a compiled list of all the ferguson publications.
Armed with my own information about FP218 I sought to check and cross reference it with my list of known problems, sure enough it was there. The list also has lots of other information.

There where over 100  “IB” Instruction books produced These range from a single sheet for the Link box to over 450 pages for a complete parts list for a TE-F20 tractor.

Some examples of Ferguson Literature.
