* FTB 11 (Ferguson Tool Britool)

Posted on October 20th, 2013 by ploughmyfield. Filed under General.

I am a such a sucker for an original Ferguson Tool especially when it was made by Britool.

I recently picked up this 1/4″ square spanner marked with FTB11 1/4 SQ. I had to look in the manual to find out what it was for. It is used to undo some bolts in the gearbox that hold the selectors in position. I don’t think I will ever use it but I’m one step closer to having a full set although with the price of FTB27  made recently in the picture below it’s going to take me a long time to be able to afford them all, if I can find them that is.

I have one of these spanners, although mine is slightly different. They are sometimes used to adjust the bottom “Snail” cam on drum brakes.

Hope this is of some use.
